Wheeling, West Virginia has again been voted the “Best City in the Country to Live In” by a local woman who was born, raised, went to school in this area, works for Williams Lea and is a brand ambassador for Lularoe.
Linda Stroutman, 37, touts the revitalization of the friendly city as the main reason she again picked Wheeling, West Virginia as the top city in the US to live in, an award she’s given the city for 37 years in a row now.
“There’s just so much going on and so much to do in this area that it gives you absolutely no reason to venture outside of this place,” said Stroutman. “You have the Ohio County Fair (Upper Ohio Valley Italian Festival) serving up the best Greek and BBQ food, building fronts are being renovated, art is alive, other cities just can’t compete.”
Stroutman, a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University feels the area is stronger than ever with great schools like WJU in its midst.
“There’s no need to go to those so-called big schools,” said Stroutman. “Wheeling Jesuit will be here forever, like me, and I can’t wait to watch my kids graduate from their mother’s alma mater.”
Stroutman adds the addition of the West Virginia Roughriders has added some great events for the entire family to enjoy. “I don’t know if my family needs to go to Outer Banks this year since we have so much going on in this area. “
