“We waitin on ya let’s go!” Those were the words of Carlito’s Soul Kitchen’s owner before flipping the table over on a family enjoying a meal at the Bob Evans in Wheeling.
The owner tells us he is fed up with the traffic from construction in Wheeling and when he drove by Bob Evans and saw more cars in their parking lot than his.
“This food has no soul! I got the soul! We’re a huge hit. Have a couple drinks with our tacos they’re refreshing and light,” said the owner. “Don’t tell me we don’t have parking!”
The owner says it’s ridiculous that he puts all the time and effort into his buffet and chain restaurants get all of the customers because there’s no construction and water main breaks near their locations. He then attempted to drag the family members into a black Cadillac Escalade before giving up and driving away.
The owner later told us he feels bad and offered the family 10 cents off wings next time they come in but only on 6 wings only. Ribs will be full price for them, he added.
The man yelled at an old woman when she asked why gravy was $3 or $4 dollars. He is doing a good job at guilting everyone to come there and not ask questions and make them feel bad for staff when they do. I feel like if I am not happy with my meal I’ll get a mob hit put on me.
