Wheeling Businessman converts Mount Carmel Monastery into makeshift prison in effort to ‘Get Hard’

It’s only been a week since Jeffrey Morris of Roxby Development was charged by feds for wire fraud but he already took this opportunity to transform the Mount Carmel Monastery into a mock prison complete with barbed wiring and workout equipment for the “yard.”

“This will be a great opportunity for me and my hope is for other future criminals of the Ohio Valley to have a place they can call home while they stay here and practice for the real prison life,” said Morris.

The makeshift prison features a workout facility, 3 course meals, someone there to wake him up every morning, and an endless supply of charcuterie boards.

He says he was able to fund this endeavor by tricking a new out-of-state investor who hasn’t heard of his charges yet.

“I have high hopes this will bring a unique opportunity you only see in the movie theater,” said Morris.

He says his inspiration came from the movie “Get Hard” starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

“I was able to get in contact with Kevin Hart’s manager and he’s been gracious enough to help me on this endeavor,” he said.

“I mean the dude seems cool but fuck every time I mention that I haven’t been paid yet, he just changes the subject,” added Hart.

Morris was charged Friday with wire fraud, according to a criminal complaint from the U.S. Department of Justice.
